dc.description.abstract ABSTRACT We are aware about the flood and other natural disasters happened in Kerala and other states of India in recent years. Hence, we know the importance of learning swimming in such emergency situations for self-rescue and helping others. So, we propose an automated swimming trainer suit for beginners in learning swimming. The radical role of the proposed system is that it makes the swimming easy and safe without taking any trainer support. The framework equipped with two units, suit unit and floating unit which are interconnected by thin flexible air tube. Suit unit is a wearable automated inflating coat having air chambers fitted with gyro sensor and pressure level sensor. Floating unit comprise microcontroller and air compressor. The proposed system continuously monitors the gyro sensor and pressure level sensor. By comparing the real time measured gyro sensor value to a preset value and pressure level sensor to an estimated value of pressure under a predefined level of water for a period of time, a signal is send to microcontroller to switch ON the air compressor and to inflate suit chambers, hence avoid drowning. When the swimmer regains idle position, the filled air releases out and can continue swimming. A manual switch is provided to immediate actuation of air chambers in crisis situations; en_US
