Abstract:
ABSTRACT
Prosthetic is a branch of biomedical engineering that deals with missing human body parts
with synthetic one. Further, the work carried out is related to feature extraction and
classification of EMG signals obtained from biceps and below elbow position. The sEMG
signals are obtained for different cases: Grasping and lifting, picking with different weight
combinations. The sEMG signal is mainly obtained from the surface of the body by using
disposable electrodes. There are also issues of the birth prevalence of congenital limb
deficiency.
Disabled people with disabilities of upper arms, elbows are more difficult to behave
everyday life. The normal non-natural arm cannot be used to hold the device easily. So
our project mainly aims at development of a prosthetic arm that can help those people with
limb deficiency. It will help the disabled people to stay more comfortable The main
structure of the mechanical arm is made using 3D-Printed parts and the fingers are moved
using servo motors. The user has to train the movement of the back muscles. But with all
its less limitations this surface electromyography based prosthetic limb is a useful ideology
mainly for the disabled people.
And one of the best possible solution for helping those with disabilities on arm.
